Back to work. I cheated a lot this week-end with food so must get back to working out.
Breakfast (7:30 a.m.): Granola cereal with rice milk.
Snack (10 a..m): Almonds
Lunch (12:30p.m.): Greek chicken salad with roasted potatoe's. See previous posts. I think I had this like last Wednesday and posted a pic. Also had half a white chocolate macademia nut cookie. Yum.
Snack (4:14 p.m.): Brownie nutrigrain bar. Loooove it. I read the details on the web-site and these are supposed to be meal replacements. Hmm. I eat it as a snack. Anyways. Now I know. The good thing is, although it tastes like a brownie... apparently it has nutrients.
I have a gym training session today at 6. I bought these Protein Plus Bites just now. You eat it before or after to get your protein during a workout. I hope they taste good. Apparently these are brownie flavour as well. I find I don't get home in time to get my protein shake in after gym so this is a quick thing to have on the go. I'll tell you what it tastes like later.
Exercise (6 p.m.): 1 hour personal training. Trainer said I've improved a lot since day 1. Woohoo!
I ate the brownie protein bites. Pretty damn good!! Found out they are pretty high in sugar though soooo won't have it too often.
Dinner (8:30 p.m): See below. Salad with arugula, tomato, bococinni cheese, onion and chicken strips in balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I also had a plate of tomato, bococinni with olive oil and salt right after. Too much food... luckily most was veggie.
I went to an aquarium in Quebec and found myself really sad. So a friend (who's a vegetarian) recommended this documentary called The Cove. I just watched it. I am questioning every type of meat I eat. How do you know where it is coming from and if it is safe? Not to mention what the poor animals are feeling just so we are fed. I feel guilty already about eating the chicken above. Let's see how long this lasts. Watch the trailer.
I was on a mission to lose 30 pounds. I did it, then I gained most of it back. Been blogging everything I've eaten and all exercise since early 2011. I only drink water, no soda, coffee or alcohol. Female, 29, Toronto. Current thing: Back to losing weight.

Quite the week-end.
Ok so I went to Quebec city all week-end. This won't be a typical timed post cause well, I'm not that anal about this blog. It was fun. Looks a lot like Paris. Fun, unique stores too. I got me a robot :) You'll see. I'll take a picture sometime.
Let's see what I can remember. In as much order as I can, with photos when I could.
Friday the 6th
Hostel had breakfast. I took what I could that was somewhat "healthy".
Let me think. Oh yes. They had French macarons. Omg. I was excited. When I went to Paris, I was obsessed with them so was pleased to see them here. I bought one vanilla Friday.
Ok, back to thinking. Oh yes, we had lunch at a cute cafe thingie. All homemade tasting. I got a veggie sandwich with mushroom soup. It was tasty.
Alright... I'm sure in between from here to dinner I snacked on some chips we had laying around, almonds, and a nutrigrain bar.
Dinner was at a pub so I had a warm goat cheese salad (surprise surprise) and sweet potato fries dipped in whatever that sauce is they always give you with it.
Saturday May 7
Breakfast: Delish! Not going to Quebec and not getting a waffle. So it was a fresh waffle with ham, cheese, mushrooms and onions. Yum! I didn't end up having that dip.
Hmm.. lunch. I can't remember. I bet I snacked on chips, almonds and nutribar again. Oh wait!! I had an amazing chocolate almond croissant. Holy crap. I died a little.
Dinner: Ok. Huge recommend! If you go to Quebec city go to Casa Calzone for good Italian food. Amazing place. Very cozy, family run and amazingly friendly. Delicious food!! We randomly walked but then realised that it is the #1 recommended restaurant on Trip Advisor. I got a veggie calzone and bococinni and tomato to start. Worth every calorie. The red hue in the photo is cause the restaurant was all red cause of the lighting. Kinda cool.
Sunday May 8
Today!
Breakfast was a repeat of day 1. Hard boiled egg, bagel with cream cheese. No orange.
I had to go back and get a repeat of my fave deserts cause F it, I'll never have it again so screw the fat. I had 2 vanilla macarons and the croissant again.
We drove after that. In the car I snacked on almonds, a nutrigrain bar, chips, corn nuts.
Lunch: We stopped at Burger King. I knew it was coming. I honestly hadn't got fast food in like maybe close to a year. Really. So I got a crispy chicken burger and small fries. It was ok.
I'm home! :) I had a protein shake when I got in, and some almond butter with a spoon. That is all. I'm too lazy to type more cause I'm tired.
Oh! Exercise?? Sorta. Quebec is all hills and stairs. So the amount of hills I walked up counts to me. We walked all day non stop so ya, I got something out of it! At least my legs did!

One more day left.
It's Wednesday. I'm leaving for Quebec city tomorrow night so come on time, pass already.
Breakfast (7:30 a.m): Granola cereal and rice milk.
12:45 p.m: Banana. Starving waiting for an e-mail to come through at work. Boooooring. Running to get lunch right after. Don't even know what I want. Everything is unhealthy.
Lunch (1:45 p.m.): Greek chicken salad and potatoes. See photo below.

4:45 p.m: 1 Avocado with some salt.
Exercise (6 p.m): 1 hour personal training session. 15 mins. treadmill.
Sooo after the gym I randomly went to this thing. A job fair for people looking for work in the digital field... not what I do. Went cause a friend was there and a co-worker and thought, hey why not, it's up the street! Met some cool people and it was a good vibe. Good, fun, non snobby people. I liked it. So ya, this screwed my food intake.
8 p.m.? I had one mini hamburger slider thingie that was going around and a drink (Gasp, I know, I drank!) It had little alcohol in it but all I know is it tasted like pineapples and it was good.
10 p.m: I'm home now. Had almond butter on tortilla. That's the last of the tortilla. Think I'm done with food for the night!
Morning boot camp tomorrow. Can't wait to wake up at 5:15 a.m.

Tuesday.
5:30 a.m: Orange
Exercise (7 a.m.): 45 minute boot camp. Here we go. Tuesday's and Thursday's.
Had 2 timbits. Hey, I haven't eaten since 5:30 and it was a fruit. Screw you and your family. Ok, that was mean. Meh. I just felt like saying it.
Lunch (12 ish): Greek chicken salad from Mr. Greek.
Chewing on gum cause I'm hungry.
Dinner (7 p.m.): Leftover asparagus, potatoes and greek yogurt from yesterday. Almond butter on whole wheat tortilla.
Exercise (8-9): Played a bit of squash and then ran for 10 mins on treadmill.
Late food. Noooooo. The friends who were over playing squash, well, I should've figured food would happen after. Damn you! It was delicious. See below.
10 p.m: Bit of everything below. I think I must have ate like half that fried tofu. All veggie or seafood cause someone is a vegetarian *cough* there's your shout out.

Suddenly Monday.
Alright. So last night was bad. I definitely overate. I don't think my body can handle it anymore. I didn't sleep until like 2 a.m. because my heart hurt, literally. I had this pain against my chest and I can only blame it on the food. Dammmmmmmmmmn. It sucked. I think my buffet days are fo sho over. Probably a good thing. Personal training got cancelled tonight so I'm going to have to drag my ass to my building's gym and make sure I do something. Or, I can do squash again. My condo has a squash court and I used to go a lot but then stopped. We'll see depending on when I get home what I choose. Plus, I need a friend for squash and not sure who's free. Anyways, onward to food...
Breakfast (9 a.m): Snacking on baby carrots til lunch.
Oh! I finally discovered how to get pics from my iphone to my e-mail (I know, loser, way to be behind.) soooo more pictures of food on this sucker to come.
Lunch (12:15 p.m.): The usual. Arugula, goat cheese, tomato and chicken salad. Light balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
2:40 p.m: Half a chocolate chip cookie.
7:15 p.m: Starving so I had a pre dinner snack. Almond butter on whole wheat tortilla.
8:15 p.m: Yum! See below for a random dinner I made from what was in my fridge. Asparagus baked with olive oil and salt, Boiled potatoes with greek yogurt topping, mushrooms and onions pan fried in low sodium soy sauce. Enjoyed it!

It was vain douchebag man central at my building gym today. More kept coming. I had to leave. Two men had their shirts off. Fine, they were fit but so gross. I'm sure they could be attractive to others but just their aura made me hate them. I hate the way men are at the gym, at least in my building. All they do is constantly check themselves out in the mirror and have this stupid look on their face like "Yea, I'm so hot, I'm so buff, I'm not gonna make any eye contact with the other men in here cause I'm too cool... blah blah". Anyways, whatever. I left.
Now I'm eating an Aero bar and letting the milk chocolate bubbles melt in my mouth. Yum.

Today had so much potential.
I woke up knowing I had lunch plans so I was prepared for that. I was going to go eat and then work off that. Well, here is how the day went.
Breakfast (12 p.m.): Granola cereal with rice milk.
Lunch (2:30 p.m.): I went to Moxie's with friends. I had what was below. Calamari to start (shared), a salmon sandwich with ceaser salad and not shown is half a brownie with ice cream. Fail with the brownie. But you see, at this point I had planned to go home and work out so I allowed myself desert.
I got a call from another friend to meet up to plan an upcoming trip. Oh, I'm going to Quebec city next week-end. Poutine and crepes... let's see how that goes. Anyways, I said yes, cause it had to happen. I went over and we planned and then the dinner option came up. I ended up going and we went to Spring Rolls. What was what I originally wanted for lunch but figured was too unhealthy. Well, that failed. I had it anyways.
7:30 p.m: Cantonese Chow Mein. My fave. Spring rolls has a pretty lighting system. It's all made of paper cranes.
So yea, today is my cheat day I guess. I should be working out right now buuuuuut Sunday night is my laundry/Celebrity Apprentice watching day sooooo screw you. I'd do some floor exercises but I'm still full from dinner and I may barf.
oh well! Personal training session tomorrow. Must kick ass.
