One more week left of vacation. I have this feeling like I should be doing something. I spent the whole week mostly at home. Mind you I did work out every single day and I love that. What to do this week!?! A part of me wants to continue doing nothing so the week doesn't go by so fast. I mean, what is there REALLY to do? I wake up and the first thing that comes to my mind is "Exercise.". No joke. As long as I work out in the day, I feel accomplished. I hope this sticks forever.

12:30 p.m: Protein shake. Coconut milk, frozen berries, protein powder

I did some 'shadow boxing' in the mirror. Awkward! I don't like to look at myself in the mirror. I'll instantly go to the negative and find the worst in everything. But the trainers say to do it so I will. Now time to watch some fights online. This should be interesting.

4:30 p.m: Grapes
8:00 p.m: all you can eat sushi. Sunday cheat day?!?

Exercise (10:15 a.m): 5 km run outside. Gonna suck when it gets colder. Gonna have to find warm running gear.

12:00 p.m: mmmm! Fried sweet potato, onion and Brussels sprouts in coconut oil.
4:00 p.m: Protein shake

5:00 p.m onwards: At a friends house with a great spread of food. The photo below is the start, more came later. It's 11:30 as I write this and my stomach still feels huge and filled with food. It'll be a miracle if my acid reflux doesn't kick in.

8:00 p.m: A salad I made. Broccoli and red pepper. Dressing is Greek yogurt, feta cheese, lemon juice, S&P.

Waking up and first thing I am doing it drinking a glass of water with lemon juice in it. Apparently this is good. Then I take my probiotic pill. Oh life.

Exercise (11:00 a.m): 5 km run. This run was brought to you by the Black Keys. Good music.

1:00 p.m: Broccoli that I griddled. In a pan -> 3 eggs, coconut oil, sweet potato, onion. Salt and peppa. Fullllll. That's a lot of food. Embarrassing.
4:30 p.m: parents house. Salad, asparagus, lentils.

7:00 p.m: At the mall. Coconut slushie. I wish I had asked for no sugar.

8:00 p.m: sandwich. Whole wheat toast bread, slice of cheddar cheese, tomato and avocado.

I'm always freaking hungry.

12:45 p.m: Boiled brussel sprouts and 2 hard boiled eggs.

 3:15 p.m: Food from mom. It's an Armenian thing. Basically green beans boiled with tomatoes, garlic and olive oil.

Exercise (6:30-8:30 p.m): 2 hrs training. Boxing/cardio. Loving it!

9:00 p.m: Protein drink

10:15 p.m: Apple with cashew butter

12:00 p.m: Banana

Exercise (1:30 p.m): 5km run. Beat time by 2 minutes! woohoo!

3:00 p.m: Zucchini and mushroom fried in coconut oil, 2 hard boiled eggs. S&P over all.

4:00 p.m: Apple with cashew butter.

Exercise (6:00 p.m): Did the circuit below 3 times. 29 mins. Lets see if I can beat it next time. Nice exercise to do in the living room, no equipment required. No excuses! Exercise can be done anywhere.
7:00 p.m: Carrots with homemade guacamole. Avocado, cilantro, salt, pepper, lemon juice.
7:30 p.m: Chocolate protein drink. Being home is awesome, I can update by the minute! Cause you know, you're all standing by your computers waiting for up to the minute updates on my life. So exciting! ;)

We got our nutritional plans today from Agency Wars. It's pretty straight forward. I think it's somewhat close to what I already eat if I just cut out the sugar.

How do I cut out sugar? Do not socialize. Sorry friends! I have no control when you guys eat delicious treats. Must have some too!

Day one of two week vacation. All I can think about is that I hope work is going on. That'll take me a few days to get over.

11:00 a.m: Banana

1:00 p.m: Handful of almonds

Exercise (2:00 p.m): 45 mins on treadmill

3:30 p.m: Stir fry. Bunch of veggies fried in coconut oil and that Kraft cream cheese cooking cream. Sweet potato in there too.
8:00 p.m: Frozen yogurt from ikea.

10:00 p.m: Stove top popcorn.

2:00 p.m: Banana

4:00 p.m: Some chips

6:00 p.m: 2 veggie burgers and some salad I made. It was broccoli, chickpeas, red pepper with Greek yogurt and feta as dressing. Oh there was cake too.

Moral of the story here is never go out with friends because clearly you can't control yourself with temptation.


Bought this dress today at Forever 21 for $30 and I'm obsessed with it. Obsessed with that store right now. Forever 21... I'm 28. Whatever. To walk into a store and to be able to actually try clothes on and they fit... man, this is new to me. I've always been a lover of clothes and fashion but never been able to express myself the way I want too. I finally can and I feel like I'm having a lot of fun with it. I know at the end of the day it's friggin clothes and there are more important things in life and blah blah but whatever. Me feeling confident in how I look will only spin the wheels in me being confident in other things and only make things better. Like, I'm boxing now. Fat me would have never done that.

Agency Wars

Ladies and gentlemen, all maybe six people who I think read this, I made it...

I am in Agency Wars!!!

I'm so excited. I got chosen as an 'alternate' but apparently every year the alternates all get to fight because a few people always drop out. Fingers crossed! Regardless, I just scored myself three months worth of free training and I get to be a certified amateur boxer in the end. WHO AM I!?! When did I become this person?

Anyway, finally this blog gets a bit of an exciting change. Hopefully this will be my last push to lose the final 10 pounds (or more?). Whether I get punched in the face and killed or be awesome and kick someone's ass, I am still proud of myself for following through and even doing it.

Fight is December 5th!!

9:00 a.m: Grapes

10:45 a.m: 1/2 a cheese scone

12:45 p.m: More free lunch at work. A sandwich (I had a full one) and random sides. It was really good.

Exercise (6:30 - 8:30 p.m): First session with Agency Wars! 2 hrs. Half conditioning, half boxing.

I just ate half a piece of bacon and I liked it.

9:00 a.m: A breakfast sandwich from the coffee shop downstairs.

12:30 p.m: Two slices of veggie pizza. It was a pretty decent, thin crusty looking one. Free at work and swamped with work. Don't judge.

4:00 p.m: Apple slices with cashew butter. LOVE. Need to buy a jar like now. Almond butter is so yesterday.

6:30 p.m: Grilled veggies and quinoa cakes. Yum. Also had some plantain chips.
10:00 p.m: Popcorn, stovetop.

It's hit me that as of next week I am on a 2 week vacation. YEA!! No plans and can't wait.

7:30 a.m: 1/2 an avocado smushed with lemon juice and salt on a toasted whole wheat pita bread.

10:45 a.m: One slice of an apple with cashew butter. New obsession = cashew butter. Thanks Mish. I need some... now. Also had a small baggie of grapes.

12:30 p.m: Leftover dinner from yesterday.

5:00 p.m: Small baggie of baby carrots

7:30 p.m: Dinner at work. Quinoa salad and brussel sprouts.
8:00 p.m: Watermelon with feta cheese.

Would've liked to work out tonight but at work now (9:45 now) so guess that's out. Probably same tomorrow. On the up (and maybe down?) side... apparently tomorrow morning the fighters for Agency Wars get chosen. Omagad. I'm sure a post will be written regardless of the outcome. Either it'll be a "HOLY CRAP I'M IN!" or a "Too bad, I really wanted it. Onward and upward!". Just gotta stay positive either way.

10:00 p.m: Had a small bowl of Sour Cream and Onion chips.

12:15 a.m. At work staring at the screen.

Having no plans is awesome.
All my friends have gone camping so I know no one will call me to do something. I love it. Is that bad? I like seeing my friends but I like being alone just as much.

11:30 a.m: Scrambled eggs with 2 eggs, mushroom, onion, cream cheese, coconut oil, spinach. 1/2 an avocado.
Exercise (6:30 p.m): 40 mins at the gym. Mostly cardio.

8:00 p.m: Same as yesterday minus the cream cheese sauce. It was gooood!
Yeaaaa leafy greens!
Made these 'healthy' muffins. Seems legit, ingredients are actually not so bad. The worst thing is the stevia and the chocolate chips. Anyway, taste like complete crap and have horrible consistency. When do pinterest recipes actually work? WHEN!?!

9:30 p.m: Stove top popcorn. Chocolate chips were had.

Is this week over yet? Sitting is a painful thing right now. Still sore.
All I can think about is this fight. I don't want to be negative but I am. I'm already thinking I didn't make it. :( It'll suck if we don't. We being a co-worker and I. Everyone at work is rooting for us and we'll have to be like, ummm, yea we didn't make it. Ah well. Such is life.

10:00 a.m: A breakfast sandwich from the coffee shop downstairs. It was healthier than fast food. Egg, lettuce, tomato and some fig jam that was delicious.

12:45 p.m: Veggie Thai curry on brown rice.

4:00 p.m: A tart.

Too many carbs today.

8:00 p.m: Chinese food. It happened. I blame my parents. Don't ask.

9:30 a.m: Snacked on baby carrots throughout the morning

12:30 p.m: A soup my mom had made. Beans and lentils and chickpeas annnnnd yay carbs!

4:00 p.m: Granola bar and a protein drink.

Exercise (7:30 p.m): Sooooo umm I went to the fitness test for Agency Wars. 20 minutes of boot camp style workout, 20 minutes of boxing technique. It was typical... same stuff I do in boot camp so no lie, I could've done it for another hour. I can manage. I think there are about 20 girls there and they pick 12. I feel 50/50 if I am getting chosen. I wasn't looking around so I don't know if I was a weak one but I felt good. Nervous because I want it soooo bad. I tried, I did. Anyway, nothing I can do now but play the waiting game. They think they should have their picks by Monday. Now we wait...

On the up side I definitely know at least one of my friends are in. She's a given. The one judge took a liking to her.

9:45 p.m: Too late for dinner. Coconut milk, berries, protein powder... blend!

Another week. Busy at work with unrealistic timelines! The usual.

8:00 a.m: A few almonds

12:15 p.m: A slice of home made veggie pizza. Then some home made tabouli. I'm gonna starve by 3.
3:00 p.m: A granola bar from work kitchen.

Headache right now. Bad. Why!?! I'm going to drink more water. My guess = dehydration.

7:00 p.m: More tabouli and some sarma. Google that.

2:30 p.m: A huge avocado smushed with lemon and salt. Spread onto toasted pita bread. Damning good!

4:30 p.m: Parents brought over dinner, for my birthday. I had mostly healthy dinner but then there was the apple pie. Oh I had that alright. Felt really full by the end of it.

It's my birthday today.
Having a huge dessert waffle later. YEAH!!


9:30 a.m: Protein shake. The stuff that comes in a carton and ice put in a blender. We have a Magic Bullet at work. I don't know why I don't use it more.

12:30 p.m: Food from the vegan place. Brown rice with veggies and tofu. There was also a very basic veggie soup.
8:00 p.m: A waffle with Nutella ice cream, brownies and hazlenuts. Happy Birthday to meeee!! It was delicious. I wish dinner was always this tasty.

1:15 p.m: Veggie burger (made with good ingredients...) with no bread, and a salad. I didn't finish the salad. It barely had any dressing and who the hell wants to eat just lettuce?
4:00 p.m: A handful of Ketchup chips. Gotta stop eating thse just cause they're in the kitchen.

Exercise (7:00 p.m): 5km run.. annnd I finally beat my damn 37 minute mark. YAY!! I did it in 35. 2 minutes is a big deal to me.. and I could've kept going too. Next goal... 6k!!

2:00 p.m: Banana bread from coffee shop. Currently sitting on the side of Bloor St. roasting in the sun.

It was a weird day. I was in the sun, shooting an install of a huge billboard I worked on for 5 hours. My back is burnt.

6:00 p.m: A kit-kat bar

8:00 p.m: I had a work event to go too. I was starving at this point. I'm sure you can tell. It was a weird food day. I had finger foods there. Sweet potato fries, a butter tart. All delicious but all bad.

I was bored during the day at the shoot so I sat there taking pictures of nothingness all afternoon. I bought these shoes for $20. Love them.

Speaking of bananas. There was a guy on the subway this morning eating a banana. Am I the only one who thinks that's annoying? Bananas give off this smell that you just don't want on a subway. Plus, what do you do with the peel? It's not a practical subway snack! I'll stop now.

1:00 p.m: Veggie Thai curry on brown rice.

4:00 p.m: Watermelon and feta cheese.

8:00 p.m: Stir fry, kinda. In a pan with coconut oil... sweet potato, onion, mushroom, red pepper, broccoli. Salt and pepper for flavour. That's it. It was pretty good.

I had NO food in the fridge today, ugh. Labour day = grocery stores were closed. I went to Shooper's and got stuff there. What did I get? A friggin Dr. Oetker frozen pizza that I ate all to myself. That shit is gooooood. Oh and bananas, I bought bananas.

1:30 p.m: A banana

2:00 p.m: A frozen pizza. Yup!
 Exercise (5:00 p.m): Ran 4 km. Went towards a friends house. Wasn't quite 5k and I didn't feel like constantly running in circles til I reached 5k.

7:30 p.m: A big bowl of boiled baby brussels sprouts with some salt. Booorrrrring but um, did you see the pizza I ate? That was about half the calories I should probably eat in one day and had no nutritional value. Not like I had anything in the fridge anyway.... I have carrotts? Boooo.

10:30 p.m: Banana with almond butter

Great weather. BBQ later... Perfect!

Exercise (12:30 p.m): 3.5km run. Again, wearing black pants and t-shirt on a Summer's day while exercising, bad choice. The shady parts were my friend.

2:00 p.m: Protein powder, water, ice. Blend!

6:30 p.m: I was starving at this point. Luckily there was delicious food at the BBQ. One of the best I've ever been too fo sho. Not gonna list it out but it was healthy dinner but way too much dessert. Home made creme brûlée? Yes please!

Suburbing it up. You know you're old when you spend an hour in Rona and love it.

1:00 p.m: Apple slices with almond butter, cinnamon.

3:00 p.m: tabouli, veggie burger, tomato with garlic sauce my mom made.
 Exercise (7:30 p.m): 1 hr gym. 15 min jog outside, then weights and stuff.

9:00 p.m: Boiled brussels sprouts with some salt

I bought new vertical blinds today. Same as I had before but they were beige and super old. The one's I have now are super white. Love it, it's making my place feel cleaner already. Tomorrow I have a guy coming over to give me a quote on doing my floors. Grown up stuff, here I come!
