7:00 p.m: Asparagus fried in coconut oil, 2 hard boiled eggs, tabouli. Mmm!
9:00 p.m: Another try for my favourite blog. Healthy Sugar cookies. Yum! :) Clearly I am failing at this "diet". Whatever, I am enjoying life. If I'm going to lose weight, I'm ok with it coming off slowly if it means I will enjoy what I eat! 

Exercise (9:30 p.m): Can you tell I felt guilty for the above? 45 mins on treadmill. Some running.

11:00 a.m: 2 hard boiled eggs, fried some Chinese broccoli and asparagus in coconut oil
4:00 p.m: Protein shake. Rice milk, strawberry, banana, protein powder

7:00 p.m onwards: Went to Queen & Beaver for a friend's 28th birthday... we're growin' up! The food was amazing. I won't lie. You get what you pay for. Service felt stuffy though. But then again, we're not a stuffy bunch. We're a pub bunch so yea. Whatever, food being delicious made up for it. So ya, I went all out. App was toast with cheese and tomato, dinner was some mushroom pie with salad and dessert was home made white chocolate pistachio ice cream. I can't stress enough. Every meal was just as good as the next. Go!

Exercise (2:30 p.m): 1 hour at the gym

4:00 p.m: Chinese and regular broccoli, red peppers and veggie dumplings fried in coconut oil
6:00: I attempted these raspberry cupcakes... for one. Why the F are they blue!?! WHY!!!
8:00 p.m: Met some friends at a pub. I ate kinda bad. Had a veggie salad (that was good) but then dessert (you'll see) and later sweet potato fries. No Carbs? Fail.

Finally Friday

Rough week at work. Being new sucks.
Can we fast forward a few months when I just know everything? hah.

6:00 a.m: Some almonds, cottage cheese

Exercise (7:00 a.m): 1 hr with trainer

I have plateaued big time. I need to make a change if I want to lose these last 10 pounds fast. We're reaching the almost one year point of this blog and it's embarrassing that it's taking me a year. No carbs again? That seemed to do it last time. Well, it's happening. No better time than the present. One week. No Carbs. Here we go...

12:30 p.m: Italian raw bowl. Fresh. Yup. No carbs!
6:30 p.m: Salad. Arugula, goat cheese, tomato, red pepper, green onion, olive oil, lemon juice, almonds.
7:45 p.m: Still hungry. Put some broccoli in a pan with some coconut oil, had some cheddar cheese over top.

9:00 a.m: These. Bananas all hippie like. Not bad.
1:00 p.m: Unexpected pizza lunch at work.

7:15 p.m: Who says veggie can't be delicious?
8:45 p.m: Home made kale chips. So good. Sucks that kale isn't really in season. When I see it a the grocery store it's exciting. Sad, eh?

9:30 p.m: Ok, I wanted to try the "Healthy cake batter milkshake" and I had all the ingredients. It happened. It was delicious!


No up to the minute posts for yesterday. Gtot busy.
We did go to a Middle Eastern buffet for dinner though. Parent's 31st anniversary.

6:00 a.m: Almonds, banana

Exercise (7 a.m.): 45 min boot camp. New instructor. New stuff. Another 3 months paid for!

9:00 a.m: Grapes

12:30 p.m: Met a friend at Fresh. you know, my fave. Tried a reco and it was so F-ing good. Go to Fresh and get the Italian Raw Bowl. Oh, and quinoa onion rings. Damn! Salad is zucchini noodles tossed with basil pesto garnished with kale chips, grape tomatoes, Fresh Protein Boost and sun-dried tomatoes. I know, it is as delicious as it sounds and looks.
7:00 p.m: Now before you're all "holy crap that's a lot of food"... relax, it's 90% veggies so Pfft! I can eat all the veggies I want. This is a stir fry in a pan with coconut oil and some water with Chinese broccoli and regular broccoli, mushrooms. Tempeh on  top. Oh wait, some shredded cheese too, ok?
8:30 p.m: Some fat free cottage cheese

9:30 a.m: Almonds, grapes

12:30 p.m: Chinese New Year. Co-worker took us out for dim sum! Not too bad. I managed to keep it veggie and keep it somewhat healthy.

Had chocolate covered almonds throughout the afternoon.

7:30 p.m: Mmmm! Something new. Fried Chinese broccoli (Yea, I had some at lunch and now I'm a fan) and mushrooms in coconut oil, sliced zucchini and put some tomato sauce, cheese, green onion and garlic powder.
9:00 p.m: So, I made these. Coconut macaroons. They were tasty but didn't turn out quite right. Something was missing. I just read it again and I forgot flour. IDIOT! Hah. It's ok. It was still edible.

Exercise (4:00 p.m): 1 hour on the treadmill

7:00 p.m: Tabouli, or at least my version of it. Parsley, tomato, wheatberry, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt. Some fried asparagus in coconut oil.
9:00 p.m: Grapes


Random day.

I went to my friend's 3 year old daughter's birthday. I ate... bad.

I had calamari at night. REGRET.

Ready for too much much info? I woke up at 2 a.m. and was up for hours with chest pain (it's acid reflux) then finally, I threw up. WTF.

Why is this a big deal? I have broken my streak of not throwing up now for 10 years. TEN!! F. I don't even care that I threw up. It's that I broke my streak of not only not throwing up, but I ate seafood too.

Serves me right for eating badly!

Feeling good. Worked out every morning since Tuesday and I'm pretty sure I've lost like 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks.

6:00 a.m: Protein shake. Small. Rice milk, frozen strawberry, banana, ice, protein powder

Exercise (7:00 a.m): 1 hour with the trainer. Still very sore in muscles I didn't even know existed. Like my "abs". I have abs? Rephrase: my abs under the jelly.

12:30 p.m: Little bit of a 'fall off the wagon' today. Went for Indian buffet at lunch. Yup. Lots of food was eaten.

3:30 p.m: Some chocolate covered almonds. It's protein, kinda.

I'm in pain all over, still.

Friends are seeing a movie tonight and I may bail purely cause I wanna stay home and watch Sons of Anarchy. Yes, obsessed. It happened.

7:30 p.m: Protein shake from the mall

Haywire is not a good movie.

9:30 p.m: Sweet potato fries

Can the week be over already?
Busy weekend though. I'm not really looking forward to it actually.

6:00 a.m: Few almonds, banana

Exercise (7 a.m): 45 min boot camp. You know what sucks? Working out when you're sore all over. Yea. Meh. I weighed myself though and I know I've lost a few pounds. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll do a proper weigh-in with the trainer.

10:30 a.m: Hot chocolate. I didn't really want it but it was political, ok? I was offered, work related, had too.

12:30 p.m: Asparagus with some salt/pepper, boiled wheat berries, sweet potato with cinnamon and honey.
3:30 p.m: I have the 'staring at a computer screen' blues. Headache and annoyed. I had a protein bar. I suppose it'll pass as a snack.

6:45 p.m: Baby carrots dipped in smushed avocado, garlic, lemon, salt. Meh.
7:45 p.m: 2 hard boiled eggs with some salt.

Exercise (6:00 a.m): So I'd like to commend myself this morning for waking up and working out, ON MY OWN. Whoa. I was surprised I even did it. I just went on the treadmill for 30 minutes buuuut I ran for 15 straight. Woohoo! Up from my previous of 10 minutes. Now on to 20. Anyway, felt good. I need to do this  at least once a week.

7:00 a.m: Some almonds

Oh, and I'm totally sore. Boot camp yesterday was as killer as I thought. It hurts to sit :\

9:00 a.m: Plain oatmeal with water, cinnamon and sliced banana

12:30 p.m: Yep. Fresh, again. Me likey, ok? I got the mushroom, onion veggie burger.
I bought the Fresh cookbook. Can't wait to make some time to actually cook something from in there!

6:15 p.m: Had the other half of my chocolate raspberry thing from yesterday while I made dinner.

7:30 p.m: Took a different looking photo this time. Check out my awesome boots! hah. Yea so I look like a clown at home. Yup. Anyway. Parsley, green onion, tomato, wheatberries, garlic, lemon, olive oil, salt.

Exercise (7 a.m): 45 min boot camp. It's back! Killed me. I know my legs are gonna kill tomorrow.

12:15 p.m: Falafel sandwich

1:15 p.m: Sliced apple with some cinnamon and honey

3:00 p.m: Two home made choc chip cookies. They were delicious.

7:00 p.m: Salad. Arugula, spinach, almonds, goat cheese, mushrooms and asparagus that were fried in coconut oil, olive oil, lemon juice, salt
8:30 p.m: So, obsessed with this blog. Obsessed. I finally made this from it! It's so damn good!! Ingredients were so simple, you really don't feel guilty eating chocolate cake! Yay :) I made it right in the bowl. Didn't finish it all though. It's rich. You can be satisfied with a little. I also added coconut flakes.

1:00 p.m: See below. Arugula with goat cheese (olive oil and lemon dressing), 2 hard boiled eggs, tempeh.
Exercise (4:30 p.m): 1 hour at the gym. Yes, again. I'm bored, ok? Imagine how fit I'd be if I had no job.  

6:00 p.m: Protein shake. Rice milk, strawberry, half banana, ice, protein powder, some coconut flakes
8:30 p.m: Warmed a bit of a sweet potato and had with some cinnamon

12:30 p.m: Met a friend at Fresh. Had a veggie wrap with sweet potato fries

4:30 p.m: Protein shake. Strawberry, banana, orange juice, protein powder

7:15 p.m: Found a nice alternative to eating guacamole with nachos. Carrots! Make the carrots edible. Guac is just avocado, salt, lemon, garlic.


I was at a work related function all day so I was fed all day.
Not all healthy but hey, I ate.

6:30 p.m: Stir fry with 2 egg. Loading up on veggies!
8:00 p.m: I can't seem to get off this web-site. Chocolate Covered Katie. She is awesome. It's a blog full of amazing healthy deserts that are also vegan. Looooove it. They're all also soooo freakin easy. Obsessed! I just made the 'Chocolate cake batter shake'... AMAZING!! All healthy ingredients. BADASS!

9:00 a.m: Some cottage cheese. Grapes.

12:30 p.m: Same salad as yesterday. When I like something, I overdo it. I don't care if my salad cost me $13 each day. It is delicious.

I feel like I am not snacking on crap as much as I used to at my old job. I mean, don't get me wrong, snacks show up here too. Not the same though. The other day someone from my old work posted these donuts they got from someone for the office. I would have easily ate a whole one. Phew. The nice thing here is that they have almonds in the cupboard. I like that. Old job would have had chocolate covered almonds. *drool*

8:00 p.m: Weird concoction. Fullll. Fried in a pan with coconut oil. Red pepper, green beans, 2 eggs, broccoli, mushrooms, veggie dumplings. Some salt and garlic as seasoning. Meh. At east I got my veggies and protein in.
9:00 p.m: Dessert? I tried something new. Blended rice milk, vanilla extract, coconut flakes, cocoa powder, banana and ice. Interesting milkshake type drink!

Exercise (10:00 p.m): 45 minutes on the treadmill. 10 running. Sweaty.

Ok. Shower. Then, first episode of Sons of Anarchy. It better be good. I better get obsessed with it.

I woke up at the butt crack of dawn, hauled my ass to the gym, only to find out boot camp isn't starting today after all. Booooo. I worked out anyway. Not as hard as I would have in boot camp. Come back!!

5:30 a.m: Two scrambled eggs with some butter and goat cheese. That's right. I woke up and made myself eggs at F-ing 5:30. Uggggggghhh.

Exercise (7:00 a.m): 45 mins at the gym

12:00 p.m: Ok, easily one of my fave salads right now. Fresh - hasn't disappointed me yet. Ingredients copied right off the menu on the site. Mmmmmm. Salad has quinoa & adzuki bean tabouleh on shredded raw kale with goji berries, Toasted Nut & Seed Mix, parsley, cilantro, sunflower sprouts, grilled sweet potato & tofu steaks. Had with tahini dressing.
Delicious once mixed. All the good stuff was at the bottom.
2:00 p.m: This hippe organic homemade chocolate coconut protein bar thing I got at the overpriced grocery store down the street. It was... ok.

7:00 p.m: Some cottage cheese

8:30 p.m: Protein shake. Rice milk, ice, strawberry, banana, protein powder

9:30 a.m: Some cottage cheese, baby carrots

12:30 p.m: Asparagus, green beans, broccoli and mushrooms fried in coconut oil. Some salt and garlic powder.
3:00 p.m: Grapes

7:00 p.m: Handful of almonds. Avocado smushed with garlic, salt, cilantro, lemon juice. Had with some tortilla chips. That's the end of the tortilla chips for now!

10:30 p.m: Raspberries

I've accepted that I had tortilla chips (not exactly healthy) soley because let's face it, everything else I ate today was perfect! Maybe not the cottage cheese. But hey, I'm vegetarian! Going paleo as a veggie is not easy! I need zee protein.

Challenge Accepted.

Ok. Day one.
I am joining this.
But, becuase I am a vegetarian, I can't follow it 100% but I am trying my best.
No fake food. Nothing processed. Trying for no dairy (no cheese!!) and um, yea.
10 pounds to go. I need a new motivator.

$30 to join and if you win with the biggest trasformation, you win the money everyone gave to join. That could be hundreds of dollars.

It's not about the money though. I just need to get my ass in gear.



9:30 a.m: Protein shake. Rice milk, strawberry, banana, water, protein powder

2:00 p.m: Cottage cheese, almonds

Exercise (3:00 p.m): 1 hour at the gym

4:30 p.m: Plate full of veggies fried in coconut oil. Where has coconut oil been all my life?!? So good.
7:00 p.m: Avocado smushed with cilantro, garlic, salt, lemon with some tortilla chips.
8:30 p.m: Bruscetta

7:00 p.m: So, it's Armenian Christmas tomorrow. I was at the parent's house for a dinner. I ate... a lot. Booo. I didn't take a photo. There was, stuff.

I was supposed to work out today. Didn't. Shitty. Joining boot camp again next week. I'm back.

Back to work.
It's ok. It's a new year... blah blah. I'm feeling less of the 'new girl' feeling. Slowly but surely.

7:00 a.m: Cereal and rice milk. Very little.

1:00 p.m: Salad. Mixed greens, goat cheese, hazelnuts, tempeh, some dressing. I also had two carrot muffins with icing. So good. They were small, ok? mishkebob can validate.

6:45 p.m: Some cottage cheese before I officially ate. Then, I sliced a potato and fried in some veggie oil. I also put some asparagus, mushrooms and broccoli in olive oil. Put some parmesan cheese over it in the end.  

The fries were delicious.
Exercise (10:00 p.m): 30 mins on the treadmill. Walking. Why isnt bold and color working. F you glitches.

2:45 p.m: Randomness from the fridge. Boiled potatoes, fried red pepper and asparagus in olive oil, tomato. All had parmesan cheese over it.
7:00 p.m: Grapes 

8:30 p.m onwards: Friend's came over. I had chocolate chip cookies and some chips. Hello dinner.
